Upcycled Pouch

A cute, little zippy waterproof pouch.

Toss your wet swimsuit in there, or use it to travel with your lotions and potions. Toss a charger, a notepad and a pencil in there and throw it in your work bag. Corral to-go diapers and wipes. There's a million uses for a little pouch, and a trillion for a waterproof one.

All pouches are unique and may not be the exact piece of the pattern that is shown in images. But it will of course be created from the exact pool pattern indicated. This is the nature of One Of A Kind (OOAK) production.

Mylle has been collecting used pools to give their beautiful material a second life. In partnership with Studio Howard & Portland Garment Factory they have created the most beautiful waterproof accessories for everyday life. 

Some companies claim that their inflatable pools are recyclable (or even compostable), but that is not actually so great. Most plastics never end up being recycled, and those that are still create quite a bit of waste in the process. So Mylle has been taking back pools their customers no longer want to keep them out of landfills, with the dream of one day turning them into something beautiful to continue their use.

Mylle's note on the high price: 

It takes a lot to keep materials out of the landfill. That's why so few people do it.

First, we have to ship the pools back to HQ. Then we have to store them. Then we have to get them to PGF. Then we have to deconstruct the pools and clean them thoroughly. And then we sew them into something entirely new.

And it's completely worth it. Thank you for valuing it.
